Franco Manca, Lordship Lane | Making the Most of London with Time Out More *

June 22, 2018 in london, things to do

three pizzas on a table at Franco Manca with Time Out More on francescasophia.co.ukI’ll be the first to admit that I don’t take advantage of living in London enough. It’s not until every so often, when I befriend someone who didn’t grow up in the big smoke, that I get put to shame for taking London for granted.
Luckily though, I recently got my hands on a Time Out More* card, which offers some pretty cool deals on some of my favourite places to eat in the city (and a couple of sneaky gelato shops and cafés, too!). I took it as a good excuse to grab some of my favourite humans and head out for dinner, naturally. Franco Manca menu with a time out more digital card on francescasophia.co.ukI’d like to pretend that the reason I have a deep-rooted love of pizza is a throwback to my Italian roots, but in all honesty, I think I’m just a carb fiend, with a slight obsession with cheese. I’m okay with it.
My current favourite pizza spot in London? Franco Manca.
I know it’s a cliché, but clichés are clichés for a reason. I’m okay with that, too.
Add the fact that I saw a killer deal on Time Out More* for up to two free drinks at Franco Manca, and I was sold. Off we went.
rose wine and no logo lager at franco manca on francescasophia.co.ukTo redeem the offer all I had to do was login to the Time Out More* portal on my phone, pull up the branch we were in, and hand the code that popped up over to the staff. They’d never seen one of these in my tiny local branch, but they were super accommodating about it, and it was quick and easy.
One free glass of rosé and one free lager, just like that.Hands tearing a Franco Manca anchovy pizza apart on francescasophia.co.ukNow if for some reason, you’ve still never been to a Franco Manca, it’s worth it for the sourdough base, alone. Firm but chewy, with just a little crunch right in the first bite, it’s the thing you don’t know is missing from your pizza experience. The toppings, then, are fresh, generous, and cooked to complete perfection – with both staple and seasonal combinations to make your stomach growl just at the thought.
And the pizzas only range from £5 to about £8.50 each, which means a meal and drinks for three people, thanks to the card, only set us back £25…total.three pizzas on a table at Franco Manca with Time Out More on francescasophia.co.ukThe Time Out More* card has tonnes of offers from a bunch of London spots – you can grab a free prosecco if you’re stuck in the queue at Busaba, free guac on your order at Tortilla, and 15% off an order at Crosstown doughnuts – pretty sweet, right? It works out to around £2.50 a month (£29.99 a year), which means even if you only use it once a month, it’s pretty worthwhile.

And it’s definitely encouraged me to get out and socialise over dinner with people I love, and make the most of living in London a little more.

You can get the The Time Out More* card for £29.99 for 14 months, and can also use the discount code TIMEOUTLOCALS for an extra 20% off before 30.06.18.
