I’ve always struggled with the notion of self-love, but no more so than within the past year.
I’ve been working on it, in the past couple of months, though, and seeing as it’s Valentine’s Day, this post felt overdue – I’m not big on celebrating either, but I think we could all do with a little more self-recognition, so I’m making today the day I show myself a little of the love I deserve.
An Open Love Letter to Myself
I am sorry. Sorry that being kind to the body, mind, and spirit that have served me so faithfully over the past 26 years isn’t of ease.
Sorry that I have
Sorry, most of all, that I have let the words and actions of others turn our relationship sour; that I tried to change you based on what I thought I needed to be.
I promise to be kinder to you, braver in standing up for what you need, and more thoughtful in your care.
I promise not to let the outside world impact our relationship.
I promise, at least, to try.
Free Self-Love Printable
I know I’m far from alone in struggling with the notion of loving myself, so this Valentine’s, I’m hoping to spread a little self-love, instead.
Below, you’ll find a free, printable self-love worksheet, designed by me and available in PDF format, so you can print it off in whatever size you like, slip it into your planner, stick it on your desk, or just fill it in for a little reminder.
I hope it helps, and feel free to tweet me if you have any problems, requests, or feedback!
What are your best practices for self-love? And are you celebrating Valentine’s at all?
